To my friends, fans and followers:

Well, unfortunately, Episode 4 was my night to pack the ol’ knives. Ouch. But, you might be surprised to learn that I actually had a certain calm about the results. Obviously, I would have loved to have stayed on longer, but my original goal was to go on the show, represent myself well and to give Nashville’s dining scene a little boost, and I feel that I accomplished that. I was also excited to see what would unfold, as far as what the challenges would be and how the other personalities on the show would play out. All I can say is I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

First and foremost, I am grateful for the opportunity. When I set a goal for myself, I will stop at nothing to achieve it, so it was gratifying to even be chosen out of the gajillions of talented chefs to be on the show, and to represent Nashville. When the folks of Top Chef first met me, I only had one restaurant.  Now, after three years of pushing myself to be better and to spend more time in the kitchen, I am proud to say I have three restaurants.

I so appreciate everything the show does for chefs (and aspiring chefs watching from home), and although I’m sure there are differing opinions on it, I see it as a stepping stone to bigger and better things, and can’t wait to see what those things are—for myself and for Nashville.

I am proud of the dishes that I produced while there, and I feel that the judges got to really see who Arnold Myint is, and that I shared my philosophy with them. Food should always be a feel-good experience, so I had no other “tactics” other than to have fun with the experience.

I knew what I was getting myself into going in, so there’s no time for

sadness, especially since I got to work with such amazing chefs that I can now call my friends and will be having some great times with in the future!

I promise to continue to work with my community and contribute somehow, so my attention will be on my next step— spearheading a non-profit that focuses on children, education, food and the arts. I hope that with what you’ve seen of me so far, you want to know more about me and my efforts, and will support me in this endeavor.

I’m so glad to be able to check Top Chef off my Bucket List…now, on to the next thing!

Yours truly, humbly and fabulously (with flawless skin—LOL),

Arnold Myint
